Research collaborations

HμREL® is honored to have engaged since 2007 in a collaborative research partnership with the Schering-Plough Research Institute division of Merck & Co.  Merck has provided funding, facilities and, most critically, scientific guidance as HμREL® readies its technologies for industrial use.

The Company is also engaged in a major research collaboration with global cosmetics company L’ORÉAL.  This research initiative is directed towards creating Allergy Test on a Chip™, an in vitro, non-animal substitute for the local lymph node assay (LLNA), one of the most common modes of animal testing presently utilized in industrial toxicology.

HμREL® maintains principal academic research alliances at Massachusetts General Hospital, Rutgers University, and the University of California at San Francisco, as well as at Cornell University.
